Thomas Bock is a Northern California native. After graduating from Saint Mary's College in 1990, he attended the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, graduating in 1992. He moved to New York City, working at Matthew's, an upscale Mediterranean Moroccan hotspot on the Upper East Side.

After a few years in Manhattan he returned to San Francisco to open Restaurant LuLu, one of San Franciscan’s favorite dining spots. He left LuLu after two years to apprentice under Chef Suzette Gresham at the award winning Acquerello, rated as one of the Bay Area’s Top 100 Restaurants.

Broadening his experience, he worked as Executive Chef of Whole Foods Market's new San Francisco flagship store. Whole Foods Market asked Thomas to run the food at the new store in Manhattan, but he declined, instead opening his own place in San Francisco, East Coast West delicatessen.

Thomas now resides high in the mountains of New Mexico where he is now the Proprietor and Executive Chef of the newly renovated historic Buckhorn Saloon and Opera House in Pinos Altos, New Mexico.
